This is just so I can write something about what was on my mind... But if you insist, read the synopsis (If you have no idea what that means, go check the dictionary)

Origin 33 Research Project

Synopsis: The Trio and its allies are racing to develop the most technologically advanced defense mechanism possible to man: the Space Defense Project, funded directly by the leaders of the Trio.
Project: The project is to develop a group of multi-functional self reliant space satellites, for 3 main goals:
  1. Energy: When not in use for other purposes (Defense, etc), the energy collected from the huge solar arrays are transmitted into collectors on Earth, providing an abundant source of the Sun's energy. The energy is transmitted in the form of high-frequency, high-energy microwaves that can easily be converted back into usable energy: Electricity.
  2. Communication: This is perhaps the most important use of the satellites. It will be our avenue of communication: all communications will be not through extensive and expensive wiring, but a connection to the satellites. All electronics will be essentially wireless, able to work in any area within the boundaries of the Alliance lands. The communications will serve another function: surveillance. With this, we may keep our enemies at bay by watching any progress they make, that may possibly be used against us. We are able to take photos of areas smaller than a square foot, able to identify any object that is on the surface of the planet.
  3. Defense: The huge solar arrays (read DESIGN) will be able to collect enough energy (stored in the huge Capacitor) every second to fire one beam of blue laser with a width of around 1.7 cm to an accuracy rate of plus or minus 0.3 mm onto anywhere on the surface of the ground. The energy expended will equal 17.8 Mega Joules per second, able to boil a 3 megaton brick of iron in a mere 2 seconds. This will only be used in dire situations, as the immense amount of energy required for this will impude the communication function of the satellites. Just as defense is important to the affairs of the Alliance, Communications is likely to be even more important.
Downsides: Visible Light Surveillance (Basically digital / optic focus camera) will not work when visible light is impuded by any airborne material: smog, fog, clouds, etc, but other communications that does not rely on visible light will still function normally. This means information sent in other forms, such as ultraviolet and microwave, will still work.
Design: The center of the satellites store all the circuitry of the mechanism. The circuitry will use the newly developed programmable chips, so we will be able to update them on the surface of the planet, without having to send men on dangerous and often costly trips into the space in order to update the circuitry when updates are available. The communications sector of the satellites will also function as a huge array of data networks.

The circuitry is enclosed in a spherical ball made of a silicon, carbon and aluminum alloy, with a thickness of 2.7 cm, covered with solar arrays. The central sphere will be at a diameter of 1.1 meters, with everything enclosed inside. Another set of solar arrays extend out in the yz, xz and xy axes (Technically planes, but they go that way. The YZ solar array is a circular plane extending front and back, and up and down). This will all be enclosed by a thick cover that will also function as a information receiver (for the communications sector) and a one-way light filter (so the laser can only be sent out from the center, and cannot be sent in for safety), so that the fragile inside cannot be damaged in any way.
Other Information: There will be multiples of 52 satellites at any given time, able to cover all of the surface of the planet. The second set of 52 satellites will be launched as soon as the success of the first set is demonstrated. We will attempt to have more than one set of satellites in space (at different altitudes, of course) at any given time, so that the reliability of the satellite (and thus the communication) networks are confirmed. We are aiming to have three sets in space two months after the first sets' durability and stability is ensured.

Well in the story the damn thing is as big as he is, XD....and its capable of destroying like ten city blocks at 50%....

Another thing, this project will have a second part to it...

The colonization of the second of the three moons... That will be where all space projects will be launched, because the extremely low gravity makes space projects very very cheap, especially the generally expensive part (probably post expensive): the actual launching of the objects.

We'll be able to mass-launch as many as we want!

BTW H bombs don't really work too well in space. Neither does atom bombs. The natural movement of atoms in air causes the H atoms to crash into each other. If there's none of that, the H would just float away... Notice how stars have to be at a certain size before they start to fuse hydrogen?

Hehe, I'll be needing my knowledge on chemistry and physics to save my guys ^_^ (I'll tell you what's possible and what's not >=D)

And yes, funding will be required for mass projects. Having this is like a fail-proof system of defense.

NO COLONIZATION YET! That can be another storyline......right now we're still warring fool, lol.

I'm done with attacks, I'm all about defense and the promotion of technology.

Hmm...Well we'll have to sign some form of treaty. All wars end with genocide, or treaties. And being that neither of our clans are decimated into rubble, we'll have to RP a treaty out somehow. I'll post in Origin 33 later today if I can.

Thus t3h reason for a treaty.

I won't be attacking anyone, unless they decide to attack me, in which case it will be taken quite seriously.

Plus colonizing the small moon will be quite an important task :D It has excess liquid hydrogen, and stuff like that. Resources ^_^ Plus, a practically gravity free launch pad.

*twitches* You know I'm not going to sign a damn treaty if it means I can't post AND you gain an advantage over us. <_<

v_v, I wish you would stop asking stupid questions. The way you're talking, if we sign that treaty, I won't be able to post in O33. <_<

Yeah...but I have a question O.O Now if you put liquid hydrogen into space (I'm guessing liquid hydrogen is more or the same as gaseous hydrogen and will explode) and throw some form of heat (assuming you could get a spark/fire to start), would it explode? There is no oxygen in space, therefore a fire could not be supported right?

No need to go with those kind of basics....just use an actual H-Bomb, lol. Hydrogen Bombs can hold an internal trigger, and the explosion (if just on a smaller scale) would still be enough to destroy, say, a space station.

Then if like Grand said, the hydrogen wasn't able to complete it cycle of impacts, all you'd have to do is hit the station directly and break into its internal atmosphere, lol.
