Benefits of being an Honorable Member

Synopsis:
Have you ever wondered what are the benefits of being an Honorable Member (Nobilities), as opposed to lower ranks such as Citizen and Peasantry? This topic will explain the benefits, and requirements of each advancement.

Requirements:
All registered members, upon activation or verification, are placed in the Peasantry class. After they have reached their initial 100 post mark, they are upgraded to the Citizen class, automatically.

The member then may become an Honorable Member (Nobilities), a group with extra-special privileges, through either one of two ways:
  1. Administration Recommendation: Get an administration recommendation, which must be forwarded to GRAND himself, and you will be reviewed for early ascent.
  2. Get 1000 posts: Or, simply go through the normal steps of being in the Citizen class until you have reached your 1000 post mark, by which time you will automatically be re-ranked to Honorable Member status. Of course, by this, you must go through the flood controls while still in a rank under the Hon. Member rank.
Benefits of being a citizen:
As a citizen, you are given extra access to places such as the Show Off section, among other places. You are also then allowed to join clans, if you wish. Before reaching your 100th post, you are unable to join a clan.

In addition to the privileges such as those stated above, you are also given an extra 5% discount at the Origin RPG Shop.

Also, before becoming a citizen you are required to make 10 posts for the day before you are allowed in the Origin Arcade (Games). After you reach the Citizen rank, you are only required to make five for that day! That gives you more time to play your favorite games!

Benefits of being an Honorable Member (Nobilities)
After becoming an Honorable Member (Nobilities), you are able to bypass all flood controls, even without the "Bypass Flood Controls" item that can be bought in the shop.

Another benefit is the ability to post in even more "restricted" forums. You are also able to upload attachments in any of the forums on Origin, for free, without the need of buying the item that allows you to do so. You are given a megabyte of attachment space, so use it well!

Not only those, but you also get a whopping 15% discount at the shop. This way you are able to purchase stuff for lower prices than others, who have not reached your rank.

Also like the ranking up from Peasant to Citizen, the requirements you must reach before you are allowed to play in the Arcade (Games) drops, but this time from 5 to two! Making two posts is even easier, giving you even MORE time to enjoy your favorite games!

Ranking as an Honorable Member also gives you more flexibility over your user account. That is, with no "Fee" (zeny wise) is required. You may change your user title without the need of paying for such an item.

Last but not least, being an honorable member means you have access to limited self-moderation options, which eliminates the need of purchasing many of the TOPIC MODERATION items in the shop.

Sidenote:
In addition to the concrete benefits stated above, you are also likely to gain more respect with higher ranks, but it is not guaranteed: It depends on your attitude, behavior, habits, and posting patterns.

Enjoy!

still, an honorable member should be someone who was recommended. I mean, that's quite a title to just be given after a couple months.

that means you're dedicated. I know more than one instance where someone was here for months, and they certainly weren't honorable.

I agree with Kiro, post count should not be a factor in determining if someone is an Honorable Member or not. 500 Quality posts are worth more than 1,000 mindless ones- even if these mindless posts are the ones Origin seems cluttered with...

Well, this idea was instituted about 2 years back when Garlic made the requirements 400. It was kind of too low, I thought, so I increased it to 1000, which I think is reasonable. You know, if you aren't good by the time you have 1000 posts, you're probably banned.

That's still saying, that he posted far too much. It's best to not have ANY spam. And even though it's unavoidable, for the most, his level of spam was too much.
