Dr. Clock

Unknown Age / rumored to be as old as time itself

Time Magi / Smith

Gender: Male

Relatives
: He has no known relatives.

Height / Weight
: 6'2" / 142 lbs.

Other Physical Attributes / Appearance: Sotha's physical attributes are a well hidden thing, only seen by very few people. Those that have seen Sotha’s being have told that he has a muscular figure, with oddly colored skin which has a tint of very light green. His pupils are truly black and red swirls, moving in a circular pattern and never ceasing. He is also said to have been covered in scars from head to toe- the signs of battle never escaping him. He has two wide-arc shapes under his eyes, which are black and appear to be a magical scar left by a wound long ago. Usually however, Sotha wears a black hooded robe with a black mask on to hide his facial features.

Mental Attributes / Personality: Sotha is an extremely quiet and reserved person. He never speaks, unless he is alone. It is said that if you are eavesdropping on the other side of a door, you can hear his quiet whisper- which sounds like complete gibberish. In his mind are scars- scars no mortal could face and walk with. The mental wounds he carries are unbearable to most, though they have no idea what they are. Some people even say he’s crazy, as very rarely he’ll chuckle to himself for any reason.

Background / History: Back when the world was young, there were 4 towers scattered through the land: the Tower of Time, the Tower of Mortal, the Tower of Immortal, and the Tower of Void. Each tower hid many dangerous perils; each of it’s own kind. The Tower of Time was full of clocks where the ticking was so loud, any man could go insane. The whole tower was like a maze that you could never go out. It would continue to confuse you and spit you back out in the middle of nowhere so you were trapped forever. The Tower of Mortal was one of the most dangerous; in here were the birth place of Man, Machine, and Life. Such things bore out of this tower, never to return and to explore the rest of the world. The Tower of Immortal was a well kept secret. In here were several things: the birth of the 3 ageless races, the birth of the Guardians, and the birth of the Enslavers. Also upon that were riddles of the universe: Magic, Science, and all things powerful. It was a vast library with all of the world’s secrets in one library. Finally was the Tower of the Void with contents so terrible, it is impossible to describe.

Each Tower gave a gift to the world. The Tower of the Mortal gave Human’s an Empire to thrive and build basis of the mortal world. The Tower of the Immortal made it’s son, the Warlock’s Tower and built the home of the Guardians and Enslavers. The Tower of the Void made a mystery; a mystery the Immortal’s Library didn’t even know. Finally, the Tower of Time gave birth to a man: Sotha, The Clockwork Doctor. Upon the four gifts of beginning, they vanished. Sotha was confused, and had just appeared in this mortal world- this pitiful excuse of living. He began to wander; to find the Tower of Time and live in the solitude of the clocks once again as he had before this life. After many, many years: He could not find the Tower of Time, let alone any towers.

Sotha met a man- Emperor Carius Galenus, the second Imperial Leader. The man promised Sotha help on his quest to find these Towers if he helped him build a city. Sotha agreed, and crafted a city of stone. This was the first Orinal; a city short lived. Carius had given Sotha phony instructions to go as Far East as you could and on an island would be a talking bird. So for the next 20 years, Sotha traveled to this island and finally found it. The bird was there too- but spoke of only puzzling instructions. The bird said “The Tower’s are here, but not there. Taken away, hidden. Apocalypse on 4th Red Moon, Light and Dark unite to defeat a hidden evil. Guardian and Light-Bringer.” Sotha did not understand at all- and killed the bird out of frustration. Sotha turned to rage, and returned to the new city of Orinal.

“Lord Carius, you have tricked me. The bird did not help, and your wisdom is blind. You shall pay for your lies.” And with that, Sotha rose a huge clock tower out of the ground. Sotha said: “For every lie is said in this city, this clock will ring. For every ring, another shall die. When you have learned the lesson of an immortal man, come seek me in the mountains.

In 2 short weeks, very few people remained. The whole town was silent and everyone was afraid to even speak. Eventually, Carius sent his best Knight to retrieve Sotha and remove the tower. Sotha returned, took away the tower, and went to Carius.

“Carius, your bloodline shall meet the line of a Guardian and your rule will exist no more. But fear not my mortal friend, for it will not be for many moons. May you rule in tranquility until then.” And as Sotha shook the infuriated Carius’s hand, he felt a shock and was knocked unconscious. Sotha continued to wander.

Sotha now roams, continually searching for the Guardian and Light-Bringer the bird spoke about, the 4th Red moon, and the Hidden Evil. For he believes that after this is complete, his tower will rise anew and he will once again be with his clocks.

Equipment / Clothing: Sotha carried very little things; usually things that he crafted himself. Two of these objects are twin short blades: Hour and Minute. These blades which were made during the Winglie Wars protect it from being stolen. When anybody aside from Sotha grabs these, the thief is robbed of sanity and hears a clock so loud that it makes their eardrums explode. Afterwards, the brain will start to pulse and if the fool still has one of the blades, the brain will meet its peace in pieces.

Sotha also sports a black hooded robe, a black leather face mask, a pair of black leather gloves, and a pair of boots he made himself with clocks at the ankle of the boot. This seems to be all the man carries- but he will sometimes carry more.

Other Information: The name “Dr. Clock” was derived from ancient stories passed on about how Sotha made the first Imperial capital with one wave of his hand. Sotha is also rumored to be mentally insane for many reasons- but nob

He was one of the first people on the planet- do you think he had a last name? He only thinks of himself as Sotha...For as he would say "Why would want two names? One is enough- especially by my title."
