Very simple topic - What does your username mean, if it means anything at all?

Mine, alblurt06 is divided into two parts:

alblurt is a variation of my real name, Albert and the 'blurt' kind of symbolizes my inability to keep secrets. Luckily for me, the screename has kind of made me into a better person.

"06" is basically the year I graduate from high school.

What about you guys?

I prefer knights....o_o. XD

Anyway...so as to stay on topic, I'll further explain the point of Odd (I'll do this every time I decide to come back in here).

In real life....I..AM...EVERYTHING. I am what you would call a Nerd/Jock/Prep/Goth. I am friends with half the baseball team plus 4 football players, I play baseball, and I run every other day (the Jock). My IQ is somewhere between 135 and 145, I am a history buff, I play Magic the Gathering, and I love computers (the Nerd). I've started wearing the same type of clothes as my preppy friends and I carry my CD player everywhere (the Prep). I hang out with two goth-like kids in my neighborhood and am friends with at least five more of them at school, and I'm in an art class filled with depressed/weird people (the Goth). You see now? XD I have no social class. sbiggrin.gif

git

n : a person who is deemed to be despicable or contemptible; "only a rotter would do that"; "kill the rat"; "throw the bum out"; "you cowardly little pukes!"; "the British call a contemptible person a `git'" [syn: rotter, dirty dog, rat, skunk, stinker, stinkpot, bum, puke, crumb, lowlife, scum bag, so-and-so]

And yeah Haven, I was pretty much the same in High School. I would stroll into school, sell some smokes to the 'thugs' for an easy profit, hang out with the 'losers' while I bought something to eat, go into class and chat with the 'jock-esque' people, who would inform me of who they planned to have a fight with this weekend so I could avoid them, then go to my next class and pretty much teach the whole class to anyone who wanted it taught to them (including the 'geeks'), go to my next class and hang out with the 'punks' and blow s*it up in chemistry, then hang out with the 'chicks' and get a date for the weekend stongue.gif, then spend lunchtime with the 'bandies' to find out who's playing a gig soon, and maybe ditch the last class (rebel that I am) to smoke weed with the 'stoners' and then finally head home with my 'goth' friends. A typical day stongue.gif

Odd-I've been like that in my years of schooling. I've played two years of soccer, including an indoor futsal season in which my team claimed the championship, I'm friends with most of the cross country team. I have a relatively high IQ (not sure of an exact figure, though), and I'm in my drama class, and I'm my school's Extemperaneous Speaker.

chris.gif Pwn. Knights. You can't get to us on our magnificent ships!

Shouldn't preps have mp3 players?

So being friends with man everyone makes you odd? I would have thought that being friends with many people would mean you're popular and likable and not odd.

That's the thing Cow...o_o, I was just scratching the tip of the iceberg.

I'm not popular at all btw, XD. I know everyone (I've been in the same local school system my entire life), I'm friends with most of them, and yet I'm mostly a background figure. Nobody really gives a crap about me except for maybe Duke and a few others.

I write in 4 different genres, including medieval fantasy, mystery, futuristic fantasy, and non-fiction (biographical). I play every type of game imaginable, including mind, puzzle, rp, strategy, family (corny sh*t), etc...I already said I play Magic, but I'm also an expert Poker player...including 5 card draw/stud, 7 card stud, and Texas Hold 'Em. Yes, I realize that these things are normal for someone smart, but allow me to continue, lol.

I am a reasonably good baseball player (trying to be a pitcher), and like I said, I run every other day, so I am in good shape. I'm actually going to sign-up for the next baseball season tomorrow, sbiggrin.gif. Next, I had Kendo and Jutsitsu training for three and four years respectively (ended in my freshman year, right before I joined Origin). Now who here honestly knew that? XD I also now own several swords and three knives.

I'd keep going but I feel like I'm bragging, and I don't like that, x_x. I'm about a third of the way down the iceberg now...but if you're interested, another third or more of it will be explained in my 'Life of Odd' topic in the Stories forum.

Ahh the reason behind my name. Well this screen name I have here I just about use on everything that I use the web with. Basically I came up with this after playing little league baseball. My friends called me that when I played because they all knew I like Frank Thomas who was known as "Big Hurt". I therefore became known as Lilhurt. I've been using this sn or ones very simialr for like 10 yrs starting on aol. I however have not grown tired of this name so I'll continue to use it forever. Hahaha. LOL.

--i—dont—know—how—not—to—double—post--

Haha, Odd not being popular. Now that's funny cuz it's so true. lol.gif And you, an expert poker player I highly doubt. LOL. And you think you could actually play baseball. Haha, that would be like watching an ant play. sbiggrin.gif And without any weapons you don't seem to be so scary with all your martial arts skills. stongue.gif Anyway I doubt anyone would want to read your 'Life of Odd'. Ahh now that was a good laugh. Haha, anyway Just Kidding.
