Duke vs. lilhurt

My attorney seems to be a bit lazy (), so I guess I'll move on alone for the time being.

Evidence supporting his inactivity:
Important information has been highlighted. He has been a member for quite some time, yet his daily post count is low. He was active even on Jan 19, for example, yet he did not post. The time elapse from his last post from his post prior to it is about 1 and a half months.

Also, I disagree with GRAND's approach, and I beg the judge to throw out his evidence on the grounds that his personal life is irrelevant to his inactivity. A personal life will not prevent a member from posting.

lilhurt points out that he was busy downloading music, so he simply did not have time to go on Origin. lilhurt claims that since he got home around 5 or 6 o'clock, he simply did not have time for Origin. This is nothing more than a hollow excuse. Members are allowed to post at any hour he (use of he to represent the typical member of Origin is permitted because of the skewness and lack of diversity in the population due in part to alblurt06) chooses. He has already claimed that he stays up until 1 or later, and yet he wants the people of Origin to believe that he simply does not have the time for Origin. lilhurt says he spends time on homework, so he is unable to go to Origin. I, however, finish my homework AND go on Origin. So how can I find the time to go on Origin whereas he cannot? In fact, lilhurt claims to be BORED quite often. If he's so bored, why doesn't he go to Origin?

The posting of members is what makes Origin a real community. People like lilhurt, simply by posting, will help Origin expand and become more active. lilhurt is limiting the potential of Origin since he is not posting.

And why is that? Why isn't lilhurt in any RP? Because he's inactive. One of the major points of joining an RPG forum is to RP. And yet lilhurt is too inactive. So is Origin's bandwith being wasted on a member who has no intention of posting or RPing? Possibly, but regardless, it's not put to good use.

Again, why not? Oh, I think I know. Perhaps this is why: Again, for GMod: So you're telling me that lilhurt is too inactive to become a moderator? I quite agree.

Evidence supporting my charge of his pic:
Rule E5 states that sigs can include "No flashing images, text, etc. Nothing irritating." I find the picture in his sig to be irritating. Defined by Dictionary.com, irritating can mean "causing irritation or annoyance." That chick is NOT hot, and that is a source of annoyance to me.

Every day that I see his signature, I cringe with anger. I clench my teeth, which is damaging my teeth and overall well being. Aside form the fact that lilhurt has bad taste, the irritation imposed by his picture is affecting me in a negative light.

Besides - 'irritation' is defined by the Staff, with suggestions from the members. You have suggested it ... nah, I don't think it is irritating. Overruled!

Since Duke chose not to represent himself, but rather have Al as his attorney, I see no point in discussing his invalid arguments.

Just pretend Al was interviewing me and that's what I told him >=P

I represent Duke today, Monday, January 23rd.

Duke brings to the Origin Court a very legitimate case. It will be three-fold.

First, the sight of Duke is getting poorer each day. To be made to look at such a signature that lilhurt has is not doing anything to help Duke's eyesight—it is only becoming worse. I don't know about you, the jury, but my client would like to be able to see and to run a life like that everyone else. He deserves to live like a citizen of Origin and if he isn't, then that my friends, is a disappointment to the rights of everyone. To paraphrase the great Thomas Jefferson, when the rights of one man are affected, the rights of EVERY man are affected.

Second, lilhurt's grammar is of poor quality.



One of the fundamental ideologies that Origin is built on is that of grammatical consistency. Grammar is promoted here on Origin, yet lilhurt doesn't seem to be aware of this. Lilhurt fails to meet that burden; in fact, he was voted as the member with the worst grammar in the February of 2005 (Might I remind the court that GRAND personally voted for lilhurt for worst grammar occassionally?). One of the main reasons he did not win that title in March is because of his inactivity.

Finally, as a member of Origin, one has a burden of contributing on a regular basis and making Origin a better online community for everyone. This is quite evident in the posts that we see daily in Chat and Talk, Sports and Fitness, Entertainment and the Forum RPG. Lilhurt has failed in this aspect as well.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Origin Courtroom, this matter is of utmost importance. If we do not succeed in this case, Origin will go down in quality and we as the citizens and nobility will suffer. We can not, I repeat, can NOT let this happen anymore.

I am now open for cross examination and further points of clarification.
