This was on this Saturday at 7.5pm on Cartoon network. The short version is Lex Luthor revives Brainiac in yet another attempt to bump off the Man of Steel. Story wise the movie is fine if not exactly inspired.
SPOILER (click to show)

My first sticking point is the voices. JLU wasn't canceled all that long ago but the evil side of this cast has new voices. Lex and Mercy sound horrible compared to JLU (and therefore Super man adventures) Lex and Mercy. Brainiac sounded off and Jimmy new voice irked the hell out of me. It's like a Batman( notice it's not The Batman as thats a whole new cast for that series) movie without Mark Hamill as Joker.

My second sticking point is the crappy characterization of Lex and Mercy. Mercy acts more like a air head peice of eye candy then the Mercy we've seen in countless eps of Superman and JL. Lex is the worst as it like they totally forgot what Lex acts like. LIke somehow the last two seasons of JLU weren't a good guide on the mind of Luthor. For an evil genuis he acted like a regular idiot for most of the movie.

Superman and Clark were as good as ever but see Superman fight a giant robot one and you've seen it all. If you like seeing the Man of Steel break stuff and have a slug fest with a giant robot I'd suggest watching World's Finest instead.

This gets 6/10.

And Raven misses the point. I didn't say it was based on JLU. Just we got six seasons on DCAU Luthor going from Superman adventures to JLU and even the first movie if you count it despite it's so so canon in the DCAU. He's smart, classy, shrewd and the teflon don of under handed dealings and crime. The new incarnation is a pale shadow of that Lex. Played more the comedic chump then the schemer we all know and despise. SA/JL Luthor wouldn't have left such a blatent lead to his company as his friggin logo on the Kryptonite holder. Hell Krypto: the super dog's(Where everyone's dumbed down for 6-12 yo's), Luthor is smarter then that.

Basic facts are they botched the Super villians something fierce and made it worse with bad voice casting. World's finest is a much better picture as the characterization is right on based on the two series, has a better pace and a plot thats takes longer then two sentences to tell.
