Are you extremely bored? Nothing to do around the house? Want to do something besides watch TV and play computer games? Well in this topic, we cure that boredom -- We recommend books to each other for potential future reading! I saw that we had a "What are you Currently Reading" Thread and I thought we could expand a bit on that part and recommend potential books here. If more than one person has read the book, and wants to discuss, please start a new topic.

Basically, provide the title, author, and a brief summary that leaves the reader hanging. Tell us why you enjoyed it from your point of view. ssmile.gif

I'm currently reading One with Nineveh by Paul and Anne Ehrlich for my college English class. It's about human consumption and politics and how it is affecting the world. I am only on Chapter 2, but once I finish it, I may recommend it to you guys if I like it. swink.gif

"Foreign Babes in Beijing" -- Rachel DeWoksin -- a vignette about a woman living in Beijing in a PR firm, as well as acting in a TV show that kind of blends east and west.

I vigorously recommend Dies the Fire by S. M. Sterling. It's like a post-apocolyptic story of survival. A mysterious EMP-like flash disables electricity, batteries, and even firearms. (It kinda explains it in the book) The characters are compelling and the story is great.

I recommend the book "Catalyst" by a darkly skinned, bright toothed br0ddu named simply "Garland Frenzy"
