Dear Members,

Today was Jinghao's graduation from high school, and into college. He looked real sharp in that graduation gown of his, and walked the stage to recieve his diploma. He will be attending UC Berkeley next year. I want you all to congratulate him on this great achievement.

As Co-Admin, I welcome him, warmly to the college ranks. There will be tough times and fun times, and there will definitely be the moments you will never forget. College will be ultimately the best decision that you have ever made, and you will really enjoy it.

Congratulations man, you deserve it.

 :)

With Respect,

Al

I am almost eighteen. As for skipping grades, I had the opportunity during the transition to high school, but, being as short as I am and surviving high school without getting beaten up is quite an accomplishment o_o. I didn't want to test that.

I could have skipped right up to third grade from first grade, with our system, there's really no other time you can skip a grade and still meet all the requirements. My parents didn't want me to do it though, and I myself didn't really have a say in the matter, but I'm glad I didn't in several ways. Anyway, congratulations, and yes, you will be very successful.

On a side note, my graduation is next Friday.

Oh, that's pretty late. Did you start school late too?

Yeah, I never had the opportunity. I was switching around schools too much (and countries. Grades 1-2 were in Japan while half of 3rd was in the US). Technically I still have half a year less in education than most other HS graduates o_O

Tuesday was our last day of class, then we have a couple weeks for Regents exams, and graduation is the day after that, and the parties are the day after, that's generally how things go.

I'm trying to piece together what makes you think I started school late, do you mean as far as my age, which was 5, average, and I very recently turned 18, so that's not really late, or late in the year, in which case it could have only been a week later? Aw well, to answer your question, no, I didn't start late, I think my school just ends a week later, so we start a week later, and the Regents exams play a role too.

De Anza doesn't get out for the summer until the end of June. Now that is late.

Okay, yeah. But it might be that we extend it another week due to Regents exams, school starts the Tuesday after Labor Day every year, except one year it started a couple weeks later because they were working on a building project, and they messed everything up.
