That is awesome man! :]

Maybe if we get a full fledged site going with tons of content, we'll have other people writing about us as well.

Ah, I was talking to Nesticles a while ago about starting a wikipedia page. I also mentioned it to Mr. S, but he thought it was a bad idea, and that it would get deleted. But, I will make some additions to this article soon.

Careful of typos Al, I fixed the ones I noticed.

Ah, it's going to get deleted.

to the top of this page, directly below this tag, and then explain why you believe this article should not be deleted on its talk page.

This will alert administrators to your intention, and should permit you the time to write your explanation. Administrators, remember to check what links here, the page history (last edit), the page log, and any revisions of CSD before deletion.

I put the hangon tag in for now, so someone think of a way to make us sound important, quickly.

BUMP because I need a quick response.

Someone find a way Origin fits this criteria:

QUOTE
Keeping in mind that all articles must conform with our policy on verifiability to reliable sources, and that primary sources alone are not sufficient to establish notability, web-specific content[3] is deemed notable based on the following criteria.

  1. The content itself has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself.
          * This criterion includes reliable published works in all forms, such as newspaper and magazine articles, books, television documentaries, websites, and published reports by consumer watchdog organizations.[4] except for the following:
o Media re-prints of press releases and advertising for the content or site.[5]
o Trivial coverage, such as (1) newspaper articles that simply report the internet address, (2) newspaper articles that simply report the times at which such content is updated or made available, (3) a brief summary of the nature of the content or the publication of internet addresses and site or (4) content descriptions in internet directories or online stores.
  2. The website or content has won a well-known and independent award from either a publication or organization.[6]
  3. The content is distributed via a medium which is both well known and independent of the creators, either through an online newspaper or magazine, an online publisher, or an online broadcaster;[7] except for:
          * Trivial distribution such as hosting content on user-submitted sites (GeoCities, Newgrounds, personal blogs, etc.)

The article itself must provide proof that its subject meets one of these criteria via inlined links or a "Reference" or "External link" section. Even if an entire website meets the notability criteria, its components (forums, articles, sections) are not necessarily notable and deserving of their own separate article.

I wrote a note saying to wait for him so we can back up the criteria, but I don't know if that will work. We're still alive, for now. Al, I recommend saving what is written, we'll probably have to try this again, and I'd have it all ready first.

Should there be a link to Origin inside the article?

And I'd write something about the XT project, but I know so little about that.

Aww, now I wish I hadn't been gone for so long, or else I could have helped more. -_-;; Is there a deadline to improve the article?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teen_Shout <- They're another internet forum up for possible deletion. I think it's safe to say our article is more...Wiki-like than this one.

Still, great job, guys. sbiggrin.gif I think Origin should reach out to as many people as possible...and Wikipedia would be the way to do it. Lol. Now we just need to prevent deletion... :/

Edit:
I edited the page a bit. Hope no one minded. riiight.gif I edited under "The Website." Below are the original paragraphs:
QUOTE
The rest of the website is a mix of random things. There are sub-forums ranging in everything from the "Chat and Talk" forum, where you talk about just anything, to the music sub-forum. Also, there is an RPG forum, but due to the lack of activity, that forum is not widely used.

Other features include an arcade, in which active members can play with a certain number of posts, and save their high scores to compete with other members, a currency system, featuring the "zeny" currency unit, complete with a banking system and stock market, which can be used to by various items from RPG related things, to specific moderation options.

And my edited paragraphs:
QUOTE
The rest of the website contains a variety of subjects. There are sub-forums ranging in everything from the "Chat and Talk" forum, where users talk about almost anything, to the music sub-forum, where users can discuss music styles and artists. There is also an RPG forum, but due to the lack of activity, the forum is not widely used.

Other features of the website include an arcade. To use the arcade, members must have a certain amount of posts. Users save their high scores to compete with other members. In addition, there is a currency system, featuring the "zeny" currency unit, complete with a banking system and stock market. There is also a store, which can be used to buy various products, from items related to the RPG, such as weapons and accessories, to specific moderation options, such as changing a username or opening and closing a topic.

I just edited the wording a bit. If anyone has a problem with it, go ahead and change it back to what it originally was. riiight.gif

I think we'll pull together better than that other forum.

EDIT: Yes, Icey, I think your wording is better.
