AURORA, Colo. - John McCain's presidential campaign on Wednesday released a withering television ad comparing Barack Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, suggesting the Democratic contender is little more than a vapid but widely recognized media concoction.

My, Paris and Britney must be smart and quite coherent.

McCain is just jealous, IMO. Loser.

Although that ad is terrible it's true in a sense, Obama is a celebrity. That's what the ad is getting at: that he's a media darling, it's not a question of his intelligence. Though the offshore drilling thing is seriously ridiculous, also how can you be for alternative energy sources yet be opposed to the two proven most effective? (Coal and Nuclear)

In regards to his whole speech in Berlin; who cares about them or most of Europe for that matter? It's only a matter of time (if it hasn't happened yet) before China, Brazil, and India become our new world powers. With all of their Carbon protocols, Heavy association with the almost-useless UN, and out of control PC Europe are shooting themselves in the foot.

Actually to go off on a bit of a rant here, how the hell did the republicans end up with McCain? It reminds me of Kerry from 2004, the worst candidate possible in a race that should've been easy. Romney or Giuliani (moreso) would've destroyed Obama. Instead we get the 90 year old dinosaur man who can't move his arms and carries little weight with his own base (Conservatives), not to mention the pathetic things he does to get what little media attention he can pry away from Obama. I'll vote McCain but only because I don't like Obama.

A lot will vote for McCain because they don't like the alternative. I just don't see why anyone should vote for McCain, especially with the war hero stuff and all.

You make it sound like being a war hero is a bad thing. If you're trying to get at that at which I think you are trying to get, then it's not so much that people are voting for McCain exclusively because of the war-hero thing.

The being a war hero is not a bad thing. Its that that's all McCain seems to bank on.

McCain doesn't bank on anything, he can't get any media attention unless he says something negative about the messiah. Though that's probably for the better now that I think about it, his only good positions are on the war and Nuclear power otherwise he's nearly as bad as Obama.

People want change though... the kind that comes with someone young. They hope Obama = Clinton a la 1992.

No one can bring us change, so it doesn't matter.
