With the reasoning they're giving, I'd imagine the same thing would apply to television news, wouldn't it?

Any thoughts?

What about trapping animals to sell the fur. Now, ethically, I'm sort of on the fence on that one. I do it, for the money, but I don't think it's 100% morally right to do.

What's your go on that.

Are you driving them to extinction? Are you cruel?

@odd, no on the first question, maybe on the second one. I think I am pretty good about not being cruel, compared to most trappers, but the general idea behind trapping is pretty cruel. You set out traps that are like mouse traps, that snap on an animals foot when it steps on it. Then, within 24 hours (it's a law), I go out there and kill it. Depending on the animal, I either wack it in the head with a pick axe handle, choke it out, or squash it's lungs. Either way, it's dead in a minute. With the wacking it, it's dead in seconds, most of the time.

@Krab.

Different every year, different for each species, different depending on quality.

Around where I lived, last season, Racoon was 35, Fox was low at 20, Muscrat was 4, skunk was 10 (not that I would bother), gray fox you could probably argue up to 50, if you found the right guy, and local house cats were worth 55 cents.
