I thought you got the T6400 or the T7xxx? The 5750 is hella old, the first Core 2 Duo iteration to come out. But anyway as long as you don't mind the 3.5hr runtime, it'll be fine.

Ohh... serious?

Well, any Core 2 Duo is better than the current system I run -- AMD Turion-64 and the Pentium 4 I have at work here...

The computer aint bad for the price. Just, as said above, the battery life is pretty bad. That, and the OS is lame. Also, I would buy a moniter to go with it separately, for use at home, because a 15 inch moniter is just too small. That's labtops for you, though.

you DONT want to be running vista with only 1 gig of RAM. if you buy either of those, make sure you upgrade the memory

Vista works fine with a gig of ram. Well, at least, it wasn't the ram that was the problem when I had it.

I had a gig of ram, and didn't upgrade to 2 until I got XP running.

I'm thinking to continue waiting. 3.5 hours of life though, is better than what I'm dealing with right now, which is... 0.

I guarantee you that in a few months if economic optimism resumes you won't find similar deals for a long time...
