Windows Vista Home Premium.

I'm done tinkering until I have the chops to really do something worthwhile.

was on the Windows 7 Beta, but after school started back up, I moved back to xp pro. Thinking about buying 7 when I get my new computer put together.

It's cheaper to get the pre-order for 50 bucks. Al's doing it!

Says the new Microsoft salesman. stongue.gif

But I think he's right. Wow, $50 is a good deal. Do you have to pay more later, like with The Sims 3?

Nope. It's a way of gauging demand. That's my interpretation of the marketing decision anyway, because I'm sure people will buy it for 100 bucks

Vista on Charlene's laptop.
Vista on my Mum's PC.
XP Pro on my (broken) laptop.
XP Home/Ubuntu on my PC (needs upgrading to a newer Ubuntu, possibly need to upgrade XP depending on how my new ISP plays with Ubuntu).
Windows 98 on an old PC I keep for unique projects.
Windows 3.1 on an even older PC I keep for even uniquer projects.
And either Windows 98 or Windows XP Home on Charlene's old PC which I am trying to restore (mostly to get back her music/photo collections).

I grudged the introduction of XP, despise Vista with a passion, but Windows 7 I am only neutral towards. I loved 3.1 for what it was, and 98 was the pinnacle of Windows for me. They should have released something like 98 Ultra Edition - all it needed was proper PlugNplay capabilities. The exploitable bugs on 98 were beautiful to play around with.

Personal challenges I suppose. Haven't fired it up in years, but stupid things like figuring out the best way to copy files using only a keyboard, crap like that. And the occassional DOS game that just seems to crash no matter what emulator or whathaveyou that I try to run it in more modern OSs.
