I can see him there sitting all along, in his hand, a pen,
There's tears in his eyes, he'll break, all right, but when?
I can see him scribble as he kills dead rhymes,
His mind flashes, as he remembers old times,
The tears start to flow, a public show,
Who would know, Lo and behold,
Inside him, there's more to be told.
"Why does this matter?" is just splitting hairs
He cries because to him it seems no one cares.
A hand on his shoulder is met with hostility,
As if being weak was a sign of depravity.
You can say all good and well that you've been in his place,
And to anyone else, it's wasted tears running down his face,
But to him, this is life, this is hard, fast and cruel,
It's the line where he crossed and lost his cool.
There's a raging menace burrowing in his head,
It confuses not wanting to live, and wishing to be dead.
That line is deferred only in the thought,
But that's exactly what his weakness has wrought.

----------------

I see it when I look in the mirror,
Two shades of blue, contrasting hues.
Why not shades of red?
No images, no delusions,
Just wishes of fear,
And two shades of blue.

Interpreting colors is meaningless,
But does that make it a waste of time?
I think time itself might even be blue?
They call me crazy, I am not sure.
Sanity is not so easy as to call blue.
But if it is, what would be its tone?

Those shades of blue,
I wish they were gone.
Why not shades of red?
No being affected, no acting vain.
Just phantoms of a faded color,
And I am sure that's good enough?

Never good to delete what you write, no matter how much you despise it yourself. I have learned this through much painful experience.

But this might be an exception.

Just kidding, I'm not going to read it.
