This can be separated up many ways -- reality, drama, mockumentary, crime shows. I will pick the best of out of that...

1) American Idol

2) CSI (Pick your city)/Bones/Cold Case

3) Survivor/Big Brother

4) The Office (Paper is in style -- in Scranton, PA anyway)

5) The Biggest Loser/Extreme Home Makeover (Inspirational Reality TV)

6) 24 (Jack Bauer for the win)

7) Desperate Housewives

8) Nip/Tuck (bringing surgery to network TV, albeit FX)

9) Mythbusters (Revival of Discovery Channel)

10) The Bachelor/ette (bringing fake love to network TV)

I'm not just talking about how they act toward the suspects, that's a given.

Do you watch the show by any chance? You'd probably see where I'm coming from if you did.

Almost any cop show pisses me off, because it always portrays cops as 100% honest and always doing the right thing. Which is far from the truth.

LO occassionally had Jerry Orbach lie and cheat to get guys. Then he retired.

You might like Serpico. 100 police officers harrassing poor al pacino because he won't accept bribes from drug dealers.
