How do I know?

- Google Chrome won't display webpages
- When I search in Google and click on a link I am directed elsewhere

What am I doing?

- Running Avast and AVG concurrently looking for an answer

I do wonder though, what else can I do to figure out what is getting to my system? Last thing I need is a system wipe...

Try IE and Bing. If they work, MS hacked your computer.

Or it could be a DNS poisoning. Avast and AVG suck. Get Microsoft Security Essentials.

Maybe Google just broke. use Firefox or IE.

Avast seems to work great to be honest.

I just did a system restore.

Unless you meant a full reinstall, that probably won't eliminate viruses.

Ah, in this case I suggest you install Security Essentials.
