It's as workmanlike as Middle America. Steel industry vs Logging and fishing. Rust belt region, high concentration of religious folk, both yearning for a championship in this recession. Both franchises are cornerstones of the National Football League with the Packers going on 80 years and the Steelers owned by the Rooney family since the 1940s. One QB has been here and won it twice (Big Ben) and the other is the heir of Brett Favre (Aaron Rodgers) who has arrived far ahead of schedule.

Exciting offenses and defenses exist on both sides of the ball.

So, who's going to win?

I'm putting my line on the Packers. I feel it's their year, and I hate the Steelers. My Zeny is going ALL IN. Other betters, feel free to jump in.

I'm going to root for the packers, I suppose? I prefer green over yellow

The Packers have both Green & Yellow on their uniform.

oh. Well.. it beats yellow and black. Also, as a New Yorker, I'm told I am obligated to dislike anything from Pennsylvania.

You mean minced steak scraps topped with plastic cheddar all on a disgusting, mouth-sticking white bread roll? Ick.

Let me guess, you drench breakfast eggs in tabasco (or ketchup), too?

Ever notice how if you criticize a Super Bowl viewer (~70 million overall) or enthusiast, they respond with the same attitude as a smug, arrogant, dismissive drug addict?

Just saying. It's a bit much. I had a pleasant day today tracking treefrogs and cafe-hopping with a bag full of Russian literature and botanical volumes. Perhaps I'm just a loser for spending the Holiest of Holy Days in sacrilegious defiance?

Sorry, it's over 106 million (last year; this year's surely higher). Don't know where I got 70 from.

(edit: added a comma after Sorry)

Who are you critiquing? I spent the first half of the game at Target shopping for stuff, and the second half at home eating dinner, half paying attention.
