Admittedly, this one made me LOL. But I definitely see the serious side of this issue. On the one hand, there is the secular role of government and the sensitivity to people of other or no faiths...on the other side, there is tradition and sensitivity to people of the Christian faith (a majority, or at least plurality).

So...who's up for decorating some multifaith/neutraldeity Spring Spheres?

Easter, and all of it's celebrations, are pagan so I don't understand why Christians would be upset anyway. Let them rename "easter eggs" to "spring spheres". It's clear that most Christians are not aware of the true meaning of Easter.

I try to celebrate the day my Saviour Jesus Christ rose from the grave as accurately as possible. Jesus was killed the Friday after the week of passover, and rose the next Sunday. Passover begins on the 19th this year and ends on the 26th, making Good Friday the 29th and the day of Resurrection May 1st. Unfortunately, during Jesus's time, at that year, passover started on a Thursday, ended the next Thursday, Jesus was put to death the following day and he rose on Sunday. So, this year we have to make a choice as to what day to celebrate it because if the literal number of days were followed, then we'd celebrate Good Friday on a Wednesday and the Resurrection on a Friday. But I know that Jesus was put to death the Friday after the passover had ended, so I choose to stick with the first set of dates I mentioned.
