Best

Tintin - In a year where big-budget, multi-year-long-process films finally paid off (see Thor), Tintin, much like it's norse compatriat, got the tone spot on; humour, action, dialogue, and a feeling of 'new', both these films made me go love2.gif both, however, where examples of when 3D is entirely unnecessary.

Moneyball - In a year where big-names took chances that paid off dividends (see Red State, Paul, Horrible Bosses) this to me was a personal favourite and came right-bang in the middle of my off-season ""Watch Every Baseball Film"" goal ssmile.gif

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes - And finally, in a year where multi-sequels got it all right (see X-Men: First Class, Fast Five) this one especially has brought a lot of new fans to the series. Incredible and rises above two types of typecast (Draco Malfoy, Gollum), this was on of my favourite films of the year, and considering how long I've waited for Tintin and Thor, that's saying something!

Worst

Sucker Punch - Proof that Zack Snyder can direct other people's media (even Legend Of The Guardians was great!), but can't write for s*it. If it was a simple "here's 6 music videos", then that would be fine, but his attempt at an Inception-type storyline is plain insulting. I walked out.

Apollo 18 - The only other film I walked out on. Proof that "many hours of found footage condensed into a film" sounds good but is boring as hell in execution. Felt like I was watching the raw found footage which I guess is what they wanted, but it sure didn't feel fun. Or worth staying until the end. Also walked out.

Hanna - Now this I have a real problem with. I wish I'd walked out. A great movie ruined by the ending. If I'd missed the last 5 minutes it could have been a "best" contender.

Moneyball was about a local team here. It is interesting in the fact that the team in question for the movie never won a single thing from such a philosophy... though it did help another team (The Boston Red Sox).

Wish I had something to add here, but I didn't watch any movies I did not expect to like. This coming movie year should have a lot more booms and busts.

Also, everything in Moneyball was accurate. It showed them specifically NOT winning any playoff series.

liked the robot boxing movie.

also like "in time" with justin timberlake. Thought that was pretty good.

other than that, didnt watch alot of new movies last year, or at least any I can remember other than those two. dont watch enough movies to have a dislike of any I see, if I dont think I'll like em, I dont waste my time on it, lolz, and it's so very rare I'm wrong.
