You have precisely $1,000,000

You must spend it, every last cent, on yourself, within the space of one week.

It must be spent on tangible items - no investment, no donations, no stocks.

What do you buy?

A nice imported car, and a share in a private jet to fly around the world and eat in several of the finest five-star dining establishments. Then, spend the rest on haw flakes.

Would a house count as an investment? It's in the I component of GDP = C + I + G + NX... But it's fairly tangible. At least it preserves value and reduces the risk/cost of unemployment!

Also, a Tesla S. Definitely. But I would buy one even if I didn't have $1m sbiggrin.gif

There's a bit of leeway ($10) I'd say.

And no, a house isn't and investment in this circumstance.

Probably:

A new computer
A new car

And I'd probably have enough left over to buy Digg too. LOL

In that case, a crappy house where I live would pretty much use up a million and then some.

In Palo Alto, a backyard toolshed probably goes for $750,000 on its own. LOL
