Super Smash Brothers Melee

Controls:
The controls are quite straight forward, but sometimes I donít hit the control stick hard enough and end up doing a strong attack instead of a smash attack. To fix that problem, I would have made only R the shield control and not L. I would also make it so that if you held down L, your attack would always be a smash attack.
I give the controls 6/10.

Graphics:
The graphics are pretty good for a fighting game. However, the animation when you bump into something, or someone hits you with a normal attack is always the same. It should be a bit different depending upon what you bump into or what attack is used on you, such as a more dramatic fall for a harder attack, and only a little trip for weaker attacks.. On the other hand, the details on the characters and arenas are fantastic. The first amazing detail I discovered is if you zoom in enough, you can see the seam on Marioís overalls.
I give the graphics 8/10.

Sound:
Nothing much new. In game-themed arenas, you can hear some classic game tunes.. The music for Final Destination, Battlefield, and the menus are brand new, and quite good, however not the most catchy Iíve ever heard. The sounds the characters make sound just like themselves in their own games. The fighting sounds are average, and donít vary much from character to character except for the special attacks which are, for most characters, unique.
I give the sound 7/10.

Satisfaction:
With a few new modes and a few new characters, itís one of the best sequels Iíve ever played. Most fighting game sequels are the same thing with better graphics. SSBM goes much farther than that. After youíve unlocked all the secrets, you can keep trying to beat your high score like the olí pinball machine at the arcade. And, of course, you can show off and beat the crap out of your friends in versus mode.
I give satisfaction 10/10.

Overall:
Overall, SSMB gets 31/40. Congratulations, Nintendo, on this great sequel!
