I dunno alot about it myself, havent really been able to find anything but i do know that its going to be shot in America and that they are going to tweak the storyline so that it wont take place in Tokyo 3(i mean like the story background). It really looks good however and if they keep the Christian dogma in it it will prove to be most enjoyable. I found a site and there is another one where you can sign a petition (pfff.......does nothing anyway) to get Gainax to release more information.
Anyway heres the best site i could find with info on it. Post what you've heard as well to help everyone piece it together, i might move this to the Animation forum afterwards and pin it so people can find out what its all about.
Evangelion Live-Action Movie
Here are some sketches/CG models i picked up in my journeys.

I'll heard Weta is attached for the Cg and fx. Should look good. At best I'm expecting something godzilla like which for me wouldn't be that bad since I like godzilla to start with.

The CG crew doing the flick is the same one that did the CG effects for the Lord of the Rings trilogy, so we can except some high standards for the Angel battles.

Hope so. Crappy angels would p*ss me off. thats why i set my sights for a godzillla level event. G2k and the more reccent films looked good with new cg effects. I expect at least that much if not motre from Eva.

godzilla 2000......not a remake, like that beautiful one set in new york, but a collection of monsters, basically......

G2k was a better movie overall then that pos Us version. It looked nothing like godzilla, the story sucked and the action didn't nearly make up for the first two. They even make fun of it in godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah.

i admit, i liked G2k.......but i also think that though the remake was odd, godzilla looked more like a dinosaur when he was an 100 foot iguana

Not quite right for a dino either. Now real dino's are the slow stupid things in old movies but he was too damn agile.

Thats because it was a Japanese man in a rubber suit, on average Japanese men are extremely limber.

Ck, real dinos are fast and agile........though it was not the best of movies, jurassic park was the most accurate in that effect

we're been over this in opm's and that was a typo. Now is meant to not.
Not that dino's are the slow stupid things in old movies. Even for a modern dino he's too damn fast and just looks like a big CG effect. Jp dino's looked like dinosaurs.

Neb, most of the time that was a effect not a guy in a suit. New godzilla does same thing but he doesn't look any more fake then he used to when it was just the suitamation.

Japanese G>>>>>>>>American.

well, considering the american version is supposed to be a mutated marine iguana, of course it is faster....then, too, you have to realize that it is not a sequel, nor a remake, but a spinoff.....basically, the japanese called him that because he is a giant lizard
