I'm calling bs on the chain posting Engler. That is definitely not something I would have done as an immature high school student. I do remember your intense dislike of music thought...

by beliefs from your list:
QUOTE (Dancing Fool @ Feb 17 2014, 09:47 PM)
recognizes that said god is greater than the Universe,

Yes, in the sense "greater" means "beyond" as opposed to larger
QUOTE
the Universe is a literal part of said god.

Not necessarily, but possible. im leaning more towards the universe being distinctly separate from god. you said it's not necessarily a requirement, so might work.
QUOTE
They do not believe that this god has any interpersonal communication with anything in the Universe,

Yes
QUOTE
does not have any personal relationship with anyone

Yes
QUOTE
does not intervene in anything within the Universe

Yes
QUOTE
and does not have a distinct form.

it doesn't have a corporeal form in this universe, where the universe encompasses stars, space, black holes, etc.

i'm also reading about deism on wikipedia
QUOTE
Critical elements of deist thought included:

Rejection of religions based on books that claim to contain the revealed word of God.
Rejection of religious dogma and demagogy.
Skepticism of reports of miracles, prophecies and religious "mysteries".
Constructive elements of deist thought included:

God exists and created the universe.
God gave humans the ability to reason.

i also agree with these. specifically @ the last one, it may not have been intentional but simply coincidence as a side effect of the rules.

so perhaps i'm a panentheistic deist?

QUOTE (Jinghao @ Feb 25 2009, 05:22 PM)
I didn't read it completely but the quantized system for time (as a state function) and how time relates state to state seems completely logical. Aside from the "he/she/etc created the universe" your beliefs are fairly distant from what I'd call religion, which is just faith.
*

Just today i was thinking about whether my beliefs are considered part of a religion. Someone used the word "panentheism" to describe me. i never heard that word before. my understanding is that one particular group in Panentheism believes in a god who lives outside the known universe and does not actively interfere, though he could be the creator.

Food for thought.

I still remember the days when I'd chain post with catastrophe in the WWYDI topic, the days i tried to figure out how to steal zeny from origin, the days i'd fail in the arcade. Melissa, kyle, PD (can't remember her name anymore...), Jingy, Trish, Joe, erik, Chris, joey cow, alburt, bill, zack, nesticles, ....and the dude who slapped people with a fish. so many memories from high school.

my friend from high school is having a baby now. 8 years ago i would never have believed it. just thinking about it, none of us are children anymore. i guess it's putting me in a midlife crisis since my life hit a stop sign 3.5 years ago and never got back on the path. is everyone else where they hoped to be?

Sure it is. Just give your preferences to the adoption agencies.

- white
- female
- brown hair
- parents have college education
- grey / blue / green / hazel eyes

Or if you want to rent one, I'm sure you can find.."managers".. on the street that can show you a photo array.

No, it happened too early. People will forget. Obama should have caged him in secret and executed him the month before the election.

How about "So my ex-roommate passed away... by H34DSH07"?

I'd like to point out I had this name before jingy posted the topic, too.

I have a small phone (Samsung intercept) so the onscreen keyboard is difficult to use. i need onscreen buttons to be roughly the width of my index finger, otherwise i keep hitting the wrong key accidentally. If you get a bigger phone with SWYPE, then it's much better than a physical keyboard.

Calm down guys! Maybe we can settle this with a duel...like the one that killed Alexander Hamilton
